No seed oils. No refined sugar. No soy. No gluten. No exceptions.
We started in 2013 — cold-pressing juice for coffee shops, vending machines, and home deliveries before we had a storefront.
We opened our downtown location in Spring 2016. Same small-batch, hydraulic-press method since day one. We were the first in Raleigh to do matcha, kombucha on tap, poke, CBD, and sushirritos.
DIETARY & INGREDIENTS
Yes. The entire menu is 100% gluten-free, peanut-free, soy-free, refined sugar-free, and seed oil-free.
Our sourdough bread is certified gluten-free — made with organic brown rice flour, sorghum, millet, and tapioca. You don’t need to interrogate the menu. We already did that.
Because seed oils are not food. Canola, soybean, corn, sunflower, safflower, cottonseed, grapeseed — all industrially processed, all high in omega-6 linoleic acid, all prone to oxidizing under heat in ways that generate compounds your body doesn’t know what to do with. The research isn’t subtle. The food industry’s response has largely been to change the subject.
We don’t use any of them. Not in trace amounts. Not hiding in a sauce. Not as a carrier oil in a supplier ingredient. What we do use: extra virgin olive oil, grass-fed ghee, and grass-fed butter. This wasn’t some MAHA rebrand for us. We built the menu this way from the start in 2013.
Cotton farming waste seed. By 1900, Procter & Gamble — then just a soap company — figured out they could hydrogenate it into something that looked like lard and started selling it as food. They called it Crisco.
In the 1940s, P&G donated what amounts to $30–40 million in today’s dollars to the American Heart Association. Shortly after, the AHA began endorsing vegetable oils over animal fats. Seed oils went from 1% of added fat in the American diet in 1900 to roughly 85% by the end of the century.
We use extra virgin olive oil, grass-fed ghee, and grass-fed butter. Fats that have been food for thousands of years without needing a soap company to invent them.
Possibly — but tell us before you order. Our menu includes tree nuts: almond mylk, cashew butter, almond butter, pistachios, hazelnuts. If you have a severe allergy, our staff will sanitize equipment and walk you through the safe options. We take this seriously.
No. Much of the menu is plant-based — juices, smoothies, matcha lattes, acai bowls, most food items are all vegan.
The menu is designed so that every item can be adapted to be vegan, keto, or meet any dietary restriction. That said, we serve fish, broth, butter, raw NC wildflower honey in some smoothies, and bee pollen as a garnish. If you’re a strict vegan, just ask.
Never.
Everything is sweetened with NC wildflower honey, organic maple syrup, or coconut palm sugar. If it came from a refinery, it doesn’t come from us.
Many of our ingredients are certified organic, GMO-free, and Fair Trade certified — but we won’t tell you everything is 100% organic or 100% local, because that would be a lie.
No GMOs, ever. We source local NC produce when it’s in season. Coffee comes from Raleigh Coffee Co. — locally roasted, organic, sustainably sourced. Water is reverse osmosis filtered — meaning even our ice is fluoride-free.
We make our own plant-based milks fresh in-house: coconut and almond. We also carry organic grass-fed whole milk.
All lattes, smoothies, and espresso drinks are available with your choice. The house-made coconut mylk in a matcha latte is one of those things you don’t need to take our word for — just order it.
DRINKS & COFFEE
Yes — full coffee program using Raleigh Coffee Co. beans. Drip, espresso latte, salted maple latte, mocha, cappuccino, Americano, cold brew, and our Mediterranean coffee menu— a refreshing collection of Mediterranean-inspired iced coffee classics.
All drinks made with house-made coconut or almond mylk or organic whole milk, sweetened with organic maple syrup, coconut palm sugar, or raw honey. No simple syrup. No flavored syrups. No shortcuts.
Yes.
Organic, Fair Trade matcha shaken with your choice of house-made milk and maple syrup — hot or iced. We also do an Iced Matcha Lemonade: house-pressed lemon juice, maple syrup, filtered water, matcha. Customers consistently call it the best matcha in Raleigh.
Cold-pressed juice is extracted with a hydraulic press — no heat, no high-speed blades. Pure juice, no fiber, rich in live enzymes, absorbs fast.
Smoothies are blended whole-food drinks with fiber, healthy fats, and often protein. Thicker, more filling — a meal replacement, not just a drink. Both use zero refined sugar.
Because heat and high-speed blades destroy the live enzymes, vitamins, and minerals that make juice worth drinking in the first place. The hydraulic press extracts slowly, without either.
We’ve done it this way since 2013.
Two of them.
The Immunity Shot is turmeric, ginger, and lemon — anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, not subtle.
The Virility Shot is beet, lemon, and cayenne — for energy, blood flow, and the kind of vitality the name implies.
Both made fresh.
